Campingday 31. May 2018

On one of the fun days in May, we went camping. He must have gotten pretty wet. And not because of the weather - we enjoyed the rays of the bright sun all day. Simply, there was water around us ...

Early in the morning, the Dresdeners, and late in the morning, the Berliners (including our partners DMP Rechtsanwälte) started from the stations. Everyone arrived, some with one and some with several transfers, almost simultaneously in Lübbenau. The greeting did not last long, as there was a walk to a large pier, which on this hot day the travelers appreciated. Upon arrival, we listened to our canoeing guide's briefing. In anticipation of pleasure, we sat in a canoe and sailed merrily along the Spree. It quickly became clear who was the leader of the three- and four-seater boats, and who set the direction, and who just relaxed.

After a tangible 25 kilometers of rowing, we "dropped anchor" in a cozy cafe, where a buffet was waiting for us. The thirsty got their throats wet, the hungry filled their bellies. Afternoon fatigue from good food, but not from such a good cucumber beer (who only invented this?!), we supplemented with a visit to a remarkable open-air museum - a village of the 19th century - with a tour of wonderful houses and pickling "SKS-cucumbers".

There was little time left - we got into a canoe and sailed back to the pier, and then on foot to the station. On the way back there were many conversations, jokes and ideas for the next trips. A successful day full of wonderful impressions, as always, remained in our photographs.

Pay special attention to the team jerseys! Enjoy watching!

Christmas party 12/15/2017

This year's Christmas holiday was a good end to our "sports" year. The start took place in the afternoon right from the workplaces within walking distance to the Christmas market in Frauenkirche.

After the first mulled wines and knackers we felt strong enough to start the competition. A lady was already waiting for us with two backpacks, two GPS devices and several envelopes. After dividing the groups according to the lot, we moved on to the "three kings" world and had to overcome this or that obstacle on the way to the manger. For example, it was necessary to decorate a paper star without using any material. In addition, it was necessary to determine the number of steps to the view of the Kreuzkirche tower - and there were quite a lot of them! Thanks again to the team members who dared to climb such a steep climb! It's great that the tents with mulled wine were within reach... The most difficult task was to print a photo depicting the team in front of the Zwinger palace and park complex - a haberdashery shop could not be an alternative without the availability of funds. Despite this, both teams did an excellent job with the tasks ahead of the stipulated 3 hours.

In order to give our feet a rest, we headed to the Magic Hut restaurant on Postplatz to enjoy a 3-course menu. But it is not in vain that they say: “Movement is life”. Therefore, we continued our sporting event - curling! In fact, as professionals, we fought for the victory, accompanied by the applause of the audience. At the end of this event, we took the liberty of enjoying another mulled wine and packing our suitcase with dance moves.

It was a really cool day that brought us a lot of positive emotions; confirmation of this is the presence of photographs.

Walking day

This year, World Tourism Day, which the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) celebrates on September 27 every year since 1980, we used for our day of walking!

Highly motivated and with the intention of making the 10-15 kilometers easy, we met in fine weather at the Neustadt train station to enthusiastically ride the first section of the commuter train to Obervogelgesang. Upon arrival, we went down a small path that made us pant after 50 meters, and after another 500 meters led to the first break at the King's Nose. After listening to the story of the hammer killer over a glass of champagne, we followed the Malerweg trail through mud and tree trunks to Naundorf and finally to Velen. The planned one-hour hike has been extended to two hours as Google maps and reality sometimes don't quite match up.

In Velen we stopped for a radler (beer and lemonade cocktail) and fish sandwiches before our colleagues from Berlin joined us. Because of our warm welcome, we almost missed the ferry crossing, so we briskly walked up towards Bastei. Conversations became monosyllabic and muscles more tense. Arriving upstairs, we took the pressure off with a fun feast of radlers and schnapps at the first diner that opened before Bastei. We certainly enjoyed the view from the bastion before we descended to Rathen, where pre-ordered ayersheks (a cake made according to a local recipe) were waiting for us. Another 5 kilometers were successfully mastered.

In Rathen we crossed the Elbe for the second time. Then our team of 20 people split into 2 hiking groups: one part enjoyed the 4 km walk along the Elbe back to Velen, the other part accepted the challenge to walk the 6 km route through Rauenstein. In Velen, we happily fell into each other's arms again, and then at the train station in Dresden.

It was a wonderful day: from the weather to the food and fun conversations! Result after 19 kilometers: next year we will do it again!

Anniversary celebration June 9, 2017

With great joy, we recall the successful celebration of our partnership anniversary on June 9, 2017.

Preparation for it was carried out throughout the year. But it was worth all the effort and we were able to enjoy the party that evening at Marcolini with great dry weather and a stunning backdrop.

After welcoming our guests, we thanked our parents, spouses, partners, clients and employees. We then enjoyed Chef DirkWende's delicacies. For fun, we prepared flash mobs that first surprised our guests with an instrumental performance of the James Bond theme, then with a variety of choral singing, and finally with professional dancing. At the opening of the dance floor, the SKS team brilliantly performed with a specially rehearsed choreography.

The holiday was held in a relaxed atmosphere and was subsequently described by all participants as something extraordinary.

So much fun is probably rarely seen at tax advisor celebrations...

However, see it yourself:

ReWe Teamchallenge

Full of motivation after successfully passing the exam for the title of tax consultant,

Matthias Müller took the lead and signed up two teams for the running competition in the ReWe Team Challenge. Initially, the enthusiasm of the office staff was moderate, as expected.

However, as training along the Elbe increased and the race date approached, the motivation grew. By the start of the race on June 1, 2017, we were prepared as a team, at least outwardly. The run itself gave us great pleasure and readiness for more, so we will participate again next year.
