SKS takes go-karting
Finally we could spend a great day together again!
This time things quickly got down to action. Nelly had the idea that we choose something crisis-proof outdoors and go karting. Because of our location in Berlin, the karting track at the Spreewaldring was the obvious choice. So we set off from Dresden and Berlin in the early morning and in a light drizzle by bus and cars. Arriving at the Spreewaldring karting centre, we were delighted to see the fancy blue full-body suits that were supposed to keep the wet off our bodies (which they actually did).
And off we went. After a short briefing, we shot out onto the track and pirouetted as best we could. Even the experienced karting drivers among us had their difficulties, as the track was really wet. The time trial therefore led to some surprises when it came to allocating the starting places for our SKS race. We then started in teams of 2 for a 60-minute race, with 3 driver changes. It was a thrill: lots of adrenaline, some jostling and 100% commitment throughout! The driver changes went smoothly and as the track dried out, everyone achieved top times!
The happy winners were beaming on the podium, all the other ecxited drivers in front of it.
During the delicious lunch that followed, times were evaluated, we discussed sections of the track, possible team constellations and so on.
It was a great, sporty, refreshing day and once again really funny with our SKS people!
We are already looking forward to the Christmas party!

Our SKS-Christmas Party 2019
Our Christmas party in 2019 was supposed to support the international orientation of SKS - we went abroad, namely to Prague! In our chartered bus, the atmosphere was filled from the beginning with lively conversations. At noon we reached the beautiful city of Prague and first enjoyed an excellent menu in a real Czech atmosphere: at restaurant “U Vodoucha” - the insider tip of an SKS client. Winter snow and a huge number of cars accompanied our drive to the first event during rush hour. However, we arrived on time at the Hurricane Factory Prague. The idea of flying in an air duct with 230 km/hour fast wind was the compromise solution for the SKS colleagues who did not want to skydive ;-) The excitement increased for everyone when we slipped into our suits and watched preparatory videos. Not less nervous we became during the "dry run" of the basic posture on a buck - still without wind. Then it finally started. In deafening noise we got to know the aerodynamic of our body in different postures, flew high up with the guide, played games in the hurricane and after a few minutes we were all fixed and happy.
With these experiences in our minds, we briefly checked into our hotel and then strolled through the Christmassy city centre of Prague to our restaurant “U Pinkasu”. An excellent dinner awaited us in the vaulted cellar, with lots of beer and lots of laughter. Afterwards we needed a short break at the hotel to relax and prepare for the party. Around 11 p.m. we left for the party at Club DUPLEX in stylish outfits. It was a great evening: we chatted, danced, enjoyed the drinks and had lots of fun!
As expected, the next morning started very quietly with a hearty meal at the Hard Rock Café. Also the return trip was rather quiet, as most of us still had to recover from dancing and little sleep.
Conclusion of the SKS celebration: it was exhausting, but so great that we definitely want to repeat it! Thanks to all of you for this unique SKS trip.

Excursion in Berlin
On 23.8.19 we had our next beautiful summer event - this time in Berlin, together with our lawyer friends from Derra, Meyer und Partner. We met near Alexanderplatz with a view of the Television Tower and first of all visited the "Illuseum", the museum in which the senses are deceived: funny distortions, exciting optical illusions, the circular tube, the upside-down room, the head on the plate, tricky tangrams, ... We had a real fun time!
After this highly recommendable visit to the museum, we refreshed ourselves in an equally recommendable Italian restaurant in the Nikolai quarter. We enjoyed the quiet and atmosphere of our special table in the most glorious sunshine.
Thus fortified, the journey continued along the river Spree in the glowing midday sun towards Charlottenburg. Summery Berlin was friendly and we hardly noticed the distance in our legs while lively chatting. That was a good thing, because right afterwards we woke up our instincts at the Lasergame. We plunged into the dark world of the Lasergame system with blinking vests and visible FAT laser beam. It was a really sporty day!
We enjoyed the end of our evening in the brewery at Charlottenburg Castle and tasted various beers, stuffed our bellies fully and took the time for stimulating, funny, interesting and really nice conversations. Thanks to all of you for this beautiful day!

Our Employee Day on 22 March 2019
After two years of partnership and the development of our internal structures, we decided to dedicate another day this year to the participation of all our employees. Our aim was to develop and refine the strategy revised at the beginning of the year, to further define the structure for welcoming new employees and to focus on service-oriented tax consultation. For the second time we invited Mr Bernd Okun from De Facto to help us with these issues.
Early in the morning we met in groups - the 'Berliners' met much earlier to drive to Dresden, and some met at the Dresden office to travel together to the agreed meeting place. By 8.30am we were all ready for a cup of coffee at the Westin Bellevue Hotel.
In order to inspire the entire SKS team (there were 17 of us), we had to line up one by one, depending on how long we had been with SKS. It was an interesting sight, especially for new colleagues. This was followed by a question and answer game, where everyone spoke openly and honestly about themselves.
After breakfast, we worked together in two 'working groups' - one made up of management/partners, the other of staff - to work through the points we wanted to structure for the day. Each group was allowed to listen to the other without responding directly or otherwise interrupting the flow of thought. There was also an open, relaxed atmosphere that left room for criticism and suggestions on how to improve the way we work together.
At lunchtime we all enjoyed the sunshine, which warmed us in a friendly way throughout the day. We then turned our attention to the 3 specific projects we had worked on earlier: structuring the reception of new employees, structuring additional services and structuring conferences with clients. The results of the 3 groups' work were then presented, discussed and recorded with a responsible person and implementation date. Such an excellent, concrete outcome that we all worked on together was well worth the time and effort!
We finished with a cosy evening at the Fishhouse Restaurant, discussing the various ideas again and getting ready for the weekend. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful SKS day!
